Should You
Be on the SFLNC Board of Directors?
The SFLNC has restructured, and instead of our Steering
Committee, we are forming a working Board of Directors.
Seven members of the Board have already been chosen and
we're still looking for two qualified individuals; one to be
our webmaster and oversee an overhaul of our website,
another with a fundraising background.
Board members are volunteers, and you would be making a
commitment of at least one year. We meet on the fourth
Wednesday evening of every month, and you would also be
asked to take on additional subcommittee or project work.
Though there are no financial rewards, the psychological
rewards of putting your talent and experience to put the fun
back in San Francisco are huge; you'll have fun and feel
great about the difference you're making.
If you have some special expertise in one of the above areas
and you have been thinking you'd like to be doing something
more to help create solutions for entertainment, then we'd
like to hear from you! We have created a simple
questionnaire so you can tell us about yourself and what
you'd bring to the SFLNC. Just email info@sflnc.com and
we'll send you the questionnaire.
We're looking for some
passionate people!
We want our new working Board to include people who have
experience, drive, follow-through and a passion for
entertainment in San Francisco. To create a diverse group
with a broad experience base, we want to make sure that we
have representation of experience in a range of areas:
marketing and public relations, legislative and government
relations experience, financial expertise, mediation and
community relations, legal training, and experience in
non-profits or political action committees with a membership
base.
