New Site Aims to Stop the ABC's 'War on Fun'

For those following the ABC's all out war on local all-ages clubs (taking Bottom of the Hill, Slim's, Great American Music Hall, and Cafe du Nord to task for such minor "infractions" as changing their opening hours or not serving enough food) a citizen action group has formed to get more folks involved in the fight. Stop the War on Fun offers places for people to donate money, time, and emails to the cause. The state-run ABC is not beholden to San Francisco, but if the pressure of public outcry stays on these guys, and the pressure on the state legislators to stay on the issue in Sacramento remains, the clubs have a fighting chance in all this mess. |
