Injunction Should Make Club a Better Neighbor
March 25, 2009 - San Francisco, CA
A Tenderloin strip
club with recurring noise and violence problems will have to
abide by a strict set of rules described in an injunction
instated Tuesday by a San Francisco judge.
Pink
Diamonds, located in a Jones Street building owned by
Entertainment Commissioner Terrance Alan, will have to
install outside security cameras and lights, clean up the
area every night and hire a "reputable" security company,
among other things.
The club owners - listed as
Damone Smith, Ed Pope and D.H.S. Global Investments - will
also have to keep track of neighbors' complaints, compile
them and make a monthly presentation to police.
If
they don't obey the injunction, the owners could face fines
starting at $2,500.
Alan said Tuesday that he had not
seen the injunction yet.
"All I want is my tenants
to behave and be good neighbors," he said. "If they can't do
that, then they should leave."
